I am soooooo excited to FINALLY begin my BLOG!!!! This is something I have been wanting to do for several years and with the help of my super sweet Friend (as well as one of my Buyers Agents), Amy Duska, I can finally start sharing all the great design ideas and listing ready tricks that I have seen and some that I have come up with on my own. (Check out Amy’s website at www.amyinthekitchen.com)
First of all (not ‘firstable” hehe!), I wanted to let you know a little bit about myself. I am a Real Estate Broker based in Woodstock, Georgia and service mostly Cobb and Cherokee counties. I have listed and sold 100s of homes in the north metro Atlanta area as well as land and some commercial property. I absolutely LOVE my job and almost every single one of my clients and friends will tell you that! I also have a side business called, My Property Tax Appeal, where we help property owners reduce the tax values on their properties.
I am a mom to four children, Corey Cooper, Casey Baxter, Todd Broadus and Nick Broadus. In addition, I am a grandmother (Nana) to Tristan and Ava Cooper, Taylor Baxter (and his new little brother on the way), and Madyson, Aubrie, and Mia Broadus. You will need to know that family comes before my business but all my children, their spouses, and grandchildren all know how much I absolutely love real estate!
As a real estate broker, I get a lot of questions from potential sellers on what they need to do to get their home “Listing Ready”. I will be posting TONS of ideas on this blog to help you understand what you need to do to get a home ‘market ready’. Those ideas may change yearly and seasonally, depending on current design styles and what buyers are looking for in homes. A lot of ideas I will post here are timeless and can be used to make a home look updated, unique, and ready for a new homeowner to love it as their own. Most of the ideas I give my sellers are very inexpensive ideas to quickly make a home look updated. They will also be ideas you can use in your home, even if you are NOT in the market to sell your home!!
I will be posting videos in the near future, not only of my current listings, but also videos of DIY projects. I will upload pictures of designs for every room in the house, garden ideas, tablescapes, party ideas and seasonal ideas.
I named this blog “Southern Heart and Home” because I was born and raised a Southerner (and proud of it), and I love everything to do with homes, architecture, and family life. My hopes are to share those with you!
I look forward to my new foray into the ‘blogasphere” and hope you will check back often for ideas that you can use! In the meantime, check out my real estate website at www.broadusrealtygroup.com and join me on pinterest, facebook and twitter!
Always remember that “Pretty is as Pretty Does!”
